Plays by Kathleen Donnelly

Kathleen has written plays for both general and youth audiences. Her play A Restoration Comedy secured her a fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and she won Indiana University of Pennsylvania's new play contest for In a Country Manor.

Pittsburgh productions include her adaptation of Charles Dickens' The Chimes at The Acting Company of The Laurel Highlands Regional Theatre and Musings upon the Mending Wall at the Future 10 Play Festival. Her series of plays about biodiversity tours annually to students throughout western Pennsylvania as part of The Carnegie Museum of Natural History's educational outreach program.

Kathleen is also a fiction writer and his been published in the journal Philadelphia Stories, including their 2007 "Best of" anthology.

A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, Kathleen teaches fiction and dramatic writing at Rogers CAPA Middle School in Pittsburgh.
