Playbill.com has a collection of great videos on their site. I especially like their backstage series. You get a glimpse of a world you don’t usually see – I am a sucker for backstage/behind the scenes anything.  For example, in the these two videos from the Broadway production of Evita (As I was putting this together I just saw there was a part three!) Actress Rachel Potter shows us some of the inspiring artifacts actors keep in their dressing rooms to inspire their performance (Part One) and has a couple of conversations with the Understudies. (Part Two)

It’s interesting that for this show there is more than one  Understudy for each of the three main roles (Eva, Juan Peron and Che). Some understudies have gone on, but the one for Juan Peron (played by Michael Cerveris) have never taken the stage.  Watch for yourself but I believe it’s said that Michael Cerveris has an eight year streak of never missing a show….
