I’m coming to the end of my circus project. It’s been very interesting. I love the concept and think that in the long run the show has a lot of potential.
Working with street performers is sometimes completely different than working with theatre actors. And working with professionals is sometimes eerily similar to working with teenagers.
Not everything has gone to plan. But plans rarely do. I’m very proud of my
contribution to the show and the whole thing has been a great learning experience. It’s great to get out of the house and you know – work with other human beings? What other chance will I have to work with text and fire eaters and hand balancers and aerialist?
Having said that, I hear my chair and a pot of tea and my notebook calling my name. Time to say goodbye to the circus.
