Somehow we lucked into a beautiful resort for our conference this weekend. We were at the Blue Mountain resort in Collingwood Ontario for the CODE (Council of Drama and Dance Educators) Conference.
We had quintessential Ontario Fall weather. The air was crisp and fresh. The trees were turning colour. The best weather in all the world, for me anyway. There’s nothing like a fall day. It was nice not to have to fly anywhere. It was nice to sit at our table and look at nature. It was nice to climb the ski hill in the early morning and look out over the rolling hills, the farms, Georgian Bay and the sun rising over the trees. It almost felt like a vacation.
In honour of our almost vacation enjoy our pictures of Canadian fall.
Oh, the conference was good too. Had a great conversation with Bill Legate who’s going to produce the Canadian premiere of Shout! in Markdale in May. What’s so great about that is that he’s doing it at a middle school, so we’ll have a very clear idea of how easy/hard the a cappella music is to learn. We’ll also know how well the material works with the age group.
