Teaching Drama

Do you have any Pinterest?

I wanted to let you know that we now have a Pinterest page.

For the uninitiated, Pinterest is a new photo sharing site that is rapidly gaining traction.

I think that theatre teachers would find it very useful. It’s a great tool for for collecting and organizing those little bits of inspiration you gather when preparing to direct a play.

Look for more in Pinterest and how to use it in a theatre classroom in an upcoming newsletter!

  • I made a Pinterest board for the show I closed yesterday.  It’s the 2012 equivalent of a morgue/inspiration board.  Costume ideas, period research, pictures from other productions of the show, photos of the places referenced in the script–it was the perfect tool for sharing my vision with my TD, cast, and crew.

  • what a great idea! I’m working on a newsletter on how to use Pinterest in the theatre classroom and this is a fantastic example. I’d love to see your boards! Lindsay
