More on failure

Some interesting reading for a Saturday. Came across this article this week about how fear so consumes Hollywood they won’t put out a movie even though they’ve spent a boatload of cash on it. True, a failing movie costs a lot. A lot, a lot. A boat load even. But to not even put it out? That seems crazy. One would think someone would consider if they focused on the quality of the movie from the beginning, then a failure would be less likely. But the number of remakes coming out of tinsel town clearly shows that’s not how they think.

So, I guess the question is – anything you have to lose, anything you think you’re going to fail at could never be at the Hollywood level where movie studios seem to sweat fear. So why not go do it? What’s holding you back from becoming the artist you always wanted to be?
