Among Friends and Clutter

Carolyn Greer from Owensboro High School sent us these fantastic shots from Among Friends and Clutter. Their production earned the first runner up slot at the Kentucky Theatre Association high school festival and they’re moving on to perform the show at the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC).

I love the elegance of this design as well as the simplicity. It says so much with so little.

Carolyn writes about the inspiration for the set:

It is a timeline – they are actual paintings of the kids in the show – or in the case of two of them, we used a mom’s wedding picture and a great grandmother’s photo. The shadow boxes go in color from white to black, changing hues as they progress. I loved the development of this set and the costume choices of giving each actor a color.
