Picture Promps – Monologues

People ask me all the time where my ideas come from. The short answer is, “Everywhere!” I took these pictures over the course of an hour in New York. Pictures are a great resource to prompt monologues and dialogues. Today we have picture prompts for monologue inspiration and on Saturday we’ll use pictures for dialogue inspiration.


The character in the monologue is taking this picture. Write a monologue that takes place in the moment before snapping the shot.
