Such Tweet Sorrow

So what would happen if the whole gang from Romeo and Juliet started tweeting their story in real time? Wonder no longer and check out Such Tweet Sorrow from the Royal Shakespeare Company. The RSC has a production of R&J currently running and for the length of the production they will also be tweeting in character. You can follow one of the main characters (Romeo, Juliet, Tybalt…), see their story in ‘real’ time and check out the story so far.

Not sure if I’m captivated enough by their tweets, but could be an interesting introduction for students. The profiles of each character are fairly involved and it would be a great exercise to compare these modern versions to their¬†original¬†counterparts…
