Playwriting

Who is your protagonist?

Love this exercise I saw over on She Writes – Describe your protagonist in six words. What are they like? Why are they of interest? Six words is not a lot of words and that means you have to chose them wisely. You don’t have to make a sentence, but you should be able to concisely say what is at the heart of this character. If you can’t, perhaps you don’t know them as well as you should.

So, if I take the protagonist from Floating on A Don’t Care Cloud – TJ who watches her once close brother succumb to a pot addiction, I would describe her as:

Yearns for yesterday. Struggling but strong.

Try it!
