Christmas Eve approaches. Everything is ready to roll at the North Pole. But not everyone is happy for Santa and his "Ho ho ho!"

Plots and schemes are being hatched deep inside the mountain. Someone wants to kidnap Santa! That means no toys for good little girls and boys. But who would want such unhappiness at Christmas? And will their plan succeed?

Based on the story of the same name by L. Frank Baum, best-known for The Wizard of Oz.

We used this play in our youth drama program for a few reasons: the gender-neutral characters made it easy to cast our mostly female group, involving the kids in a non-musical gave them a chance to really do some character development, and we were able to include a wide range of ages in the show.
