Stressed

Production Tips for Stressed

by Alan Haehnel

For Alex, it's school. For Josh, it's his girlfriend. For Carmen, it's dealing with her coach. And Mindy's frustrated with her parents. Stress is driving this quartet crazy - so much so they can't stop talking about it.

This play is a symphony of sound and character.

A challenging but incredibly fun piece.

Tips from past Producers

Don't be afraid to explore different staging ideas and moving the characters from their spaces. It really changed our performance when we gave them a new spot to dream.
Before we put the show on its feet, we spent a lot of time sitting with the script and running lines over and over to find the rhythm and pulse of the play. Once we began blocking, everything came together and quickly became almost muscle memory. This is a great play for skilled actors who can handle a lot of memorization and work effectively as an ensemble.
