Call for Middle School & High School play scripts

Are you a playwright with a story that middle and high school students will love? Theatrefolk is seeking new plays that:

  • Run 25-30 minutes in length
  • Feature mostly middle or high school-aged characters
  • Are easy to stage with simple set requirements
  • Offer flexible casting (gender flexibility encouraged)
  • Follow proper script formatting

We are looking for plays on these themes:

  • Personal Growth: Building resilience, overcoming failure, and navigating mental health and self-care.
  • Social Dynamics: Friendship, belonging, empathy, and family understanding.
  • Identity and Diversity: Exploring creativity, self-expression, identity, and differences.
  • Modern Challenges: Navigating social media, technology's impact, and pressures of inequality.
  • Activism and Responsibility: Environmental advocacy, social justice, and addressing inequality.

If your play speaks to today’s youth and meets these criteria, please submit your script and join our mission to inspire young actors.
