Kirk Shimano
Kirk Shimano is a playwright based in Vancouver, British Columbia. His works tend to live on the intersection of Gay Street and Nerdy Avenue, having explored the human side of lovesick zombies, overbearing Mesopotamian deities, and insecure robots. A previous resident of the San Francisco, he has worked with a number of theatre companies in the Bay Area indie scene.
By day, Kirk works as an engineer in the movie visual effects industry, an experience which was dramatized in his Hero Creature Work. H makes tools for artists who illuminate imaginary things with lights that do not actually exist.
