We performed this play alongside other short comedic sketches and vignettes based around the theme of “school,” and it aligned beautifully with the issues and experiences we wanted to present. We explored several ways to portray the teacher, ultimately having another performer read the lines live through a microphone while the onstage actor presented the character as almost robotic. It worked really well!
