A performance is defined as any presentation of the play (in whole or in part) for any audience. This includes competitions, invited dress rehearsals, and in-class performances for any audience comprised of five or more individuals who are not participants in the class.
In-class performances, where the audience consists entirely of students in the same class, are not subject to royalty.
