Slay

Slay

by Rachel Bland

In a world full of epic adventures, thrilling battles, and dangers at every turn, there lives a princess unlike any other: Jane. And Jane is well… plain. She doesn’t wear gowns with grace, she isn’t brave enough to slay dragons, and she can barely pass her math test! But when a terrifying beast threatens to destroy everything she loves, Jane refuses to sit back and wait for rescue.

Jane sets out on a quest to find the “hero of worth” to save her kingdom. Will Jane and her friends find the hero in time? Will they end up as a cautionary tale? Or will Jane learn that there is something special in being yourself?

Slay is a hilarious, heartwarming adventure that is easy to stage with vivid characters and roles for all levels.
