Together, they prove that even when life gets messy, thirteen-year-old minds can figure a lot out in ten minutes or less. An outstanding character challenge.

An after school game of Risk becomes a battlefield for Newton and his buddies, who are coping with secrets, heartbreak, and change. When the pressure causes one of them to snap, they realize they have to rebuild their friendship, one plastic army at a time.

Frank struggles to keep his memories alive after moving in with a stepdad who wants to erase the past. During a surreal nightmare, Frank must choose between holding onto his history or letting himself be rebuilt from scratch.

At a neighbourhood yard sale, Vera and Frank connect over their chaotic home lives, driven by her mother’s multi-level marketing obsession and his fixation on vintage clothing. While trying on old clothes, they help each other flip a pile of junk into a plan for the future.

As eight teenagers open their lockers and their hearts, the intense feelings of eighth grade bubble to the surface. This abstract look at the moment childhood cracks open shows these teens looking for the combination that unlocks their true selves.

Best friends Evelyn and Beatrice confront the overwhelming pressures of growing up when their bodies suddenly begin changing in bizarre ways. Together, they must find a way to balance their shifting egos and maintain their bond.

Friends light up an eighth grade black light dance, packed with neon outfits, snappy banter, and heartfelt realizations as they contemplate turning fourteen. By dropping their defences to celebrate exactly who they are, they offer a luminous look at stepping into your own spotlight and dancing into the future.

Chester and Newton get a job cleaning swimming pools as a way to see each other after their parents stopped talking because of politics. While working in the heat, the boys realize they don’t have to be angry like the adults and would rather just be best friends again.

Stanley and Ruth have been attached at the hip ever since they were born. When Stanley enlists Ruth to help him hang a poster on his bedroom wall, he reveals a secret that puts their friendship to the test.

Ruth tries to improve her eighth grade experience by starting an exercise group with Vera and Evelyn in her garage. While spinning their wheels, they figure out how to upcycle their complicated lives.

During spring break, classmates Chester and Beatrice bump into each other at a hotel continental breakfast. As they share an under-cooked waffle, they discover a sweet way to find hope when life gets sticky.
