Mmmbeth: Competition Length Version

by Allison Williams

A hilarious mixed-gender take on the Scottish play!

Everything goes wrong. The witches take over the storytelling, Queen Duncan would rather open a donut franchise than die, Lady M's a bloodthirsty June Cleaver, and the murderers are preoccupied with creating a commercial for their services.

Easy to work with, fun staging opportunities, and lots of slapstick that my cast loved.

Katelyn Lick
Sandhills Theater Arts and Renaissance School (S.T.A.R.S.) Charter
I’m a student director who chose and directed Mmmbeth. This play was so easy to shape into my own vision. I loved playing around with the characters and reimagining the story of Macbeth in such a whimsical way. Interpreting the stage directions and designing the lighting made it a really fun show to direct.

Enjoyed the comedic timing of the piece and the room left for improv and fun.
